Welcome to Willow Class!

This week Willow class have been settling into their new classroom, establishing routines and building relationships with the new adults and their peers.

We have been exploring the story 'The colour monster', exploring the different feelings, thinking about what makes us feel a certain way and how we can change our feelings if needed. The children have come up with some great ideas and really enjoyed drawing and cutting out their own colour monsters to go onto our display. 

Next week we will be starting our phonics sessions, starting with four new sounds to begin: s, a, t, p - which is very exciting. We will also be looking at a story for our literacy: Room on the broom. The Willow class are very excited to have started handwriting, practicing forming letters correctly to write their name independently.
