Oak Class get super excited in Maths

This week, Oak Class have been super mathematicians! We have been learning about tens and ones, representing numbers using resources, and drawing them ourselves. The children have also explored partitioning numbers and discovered that there is more than one way to split a whole.

In English, we have started learning our new model text, Lost and Found. The children have been fantastic at remembering and retelling the story. We have also been working on using similes to make our writing more descriptive.

In RE, the children learned about the story of the birth of Jesus and even acted it out together. We have also begun learning our nativity songs and practicing for the play—everyone is very excited!
