Ian Macdonald Visits the school!

We were very lucky on World Book day to be visited by Ian Macdonald a local author. He worked with all the children across the school, however he spent a lot of time with Chestnuts and Copper Beech having a creative writing workshop which they thoroughly enjoyed. This was based on his books 'The Mummy's Finger' and "A haunted house". The children wrote suspenseful story descriptions around this. Their own compositions will be shared with Ian Macdonald, as he was impressed by their efforts.

Children from Copper Beech enjoyed also reading stories to children lower down the school.
