Copper Beech celebrate Parliament week!
Last week, Copper Beech took part in UK Parliament week. Copper Beech topic this term is population, and they have been looking at how the population is recorded and used by the Government. Copper Beech engaged in activities to learn about democracy, British Parliament and how rules are created. The classroom was set up as the House of Commons with a ruling party and an opposition party, as well as a Speaker of the House. They debated a Bill that was raised about whether single-use plastics should be banned in the UK and then they held a secret ballot.
