Chestnuts discover Fossils!
What a busy and brilliant week we’ve had!
Our classroom has been buzzing with excitement as we dug deep into the world of fossils, discovering how creatures from millions of years ago have been preserved in rock. The children loved becoming “mini‑palaeontologists”
!In History, we travelled through time to compare Tudor and Victorian childhood with our own—there were plenty of shocked faces when they realised just how hard Victorian chores were!
Maths saw us measuring everything in sight, practising careful accuracy with centimetres and millimetres.
And in English, we’ve had great fun innovating our newspaper reports—this week’s big twist: the escaped lion is now a tiger! The creativity has been fantastic.
