Chestnuts Class explore Textures and Vocabulary
This week in Chestnut Class, we have been developing our maths skills by learning how to order and compare objects and numbers, using practical resources and problem-solving activities to deepen our understanding.
In English, we have been busy making changes to our class story, The Tunnel by Anthony Browne, and using our imaginations to write descriptive pieces about a magical winter wonderland, focusing on exciting vocabulary and creating vivid images for the reader.
In History, we learned about the inspiring life of Bessie Coleman and explored the significant impact she had on the world of aviation as the first African American and Native American woman to earn a pilot's licence.
In Art, we enjoyed a walk around the school grounds, investigating and recording a variety of textures that we could see and feel, helping us develop our observation skills and artistic vocabulary. It has been a busy and exciting week of learning!
