A Busy, Brilliant Week in Chestnut Class

This week, the children in Chestnut Class have had a fantastic and action‑packed week of learning, and they should be very proud of everything they’ve achieved.English:

The children proudly published their letters about Beowulf and have now moved on to writing their own action stories. We’ve been exploring exciting language, dramatic scenes and powerful heroes, with lots of creativity on show.Maths:

We have been superb in Maths and started our brand‑new unit on decimals. The children have shown great focus and enthusiasm as they tackled this new challenge.RE:

In RE, we have been learning about Ramadan. The children created thoughtful and colourful posters and invitations, showing a growing understanding of this important time in the Islamic calendar.Art:

Things got wonderfully messy in Art this week. The children were fabulous as they made their own papyrus paper, working carefully and enthusiastically with this hands‑on activity.History:

In History, the children learnt about how the Anglo‑Saxons brought Christianity to Britain, asking thoughtful questions and making excellent links to previous learning.Overall, it has been a very busy, fun and rewarding week across the curriculum. Well done, Chestnut Class , you continue to impress us every day.
