Uniform

School uniform is required at Northiam CE Primary School and consists of:

  • Grey Jumper with Royal Blue Inlay with school logo
  • Grey Cardigan with School logo
  • Dark grey trousers/shorts/skirt
  • White blouse/shirt
  • School tie
  • Black shoes
  • In summer children may wear blue checked/striped dresses.

All school embossed uniform is available from the school office this also includes ties, book bags, and gym bags.

PE/Games

For reasons of safety and hygiene children need to change for PE and Games lessons.  Kit of plimsolls/trainers, embossed school PE top and  Shorts (Navy or black) should be kept in school in the Northiam CE Primary School PE bags, also available from the school office.

Footwear

The uniform for both boys and girls is black shoes. These should be sensible shoes, suitable for a school environment. Trainers/plimsolls are required for PE lessons. Wellington boots or something of a similar sturdy nature will be acceptable in poor weather. However, the children must bring their school shoes to change into once they enter the school building.

Jewellery

Jewellery is not allowed at school. The only exception to this is if a child has pierced ears, whereupon small, plain studs may be worn. The child must be able to remove their own earrings for P.E lessons – as we are not able to do this.
